Anywho, this picture is for So, the background: Shire, having grown tired of all the mares in the Cimarron herd wanted something more. He, being such a ladies man, could have any mare in the herd, but he found himself wanting more and decided to leave. . . He traveled for a long time, several seasons, staying with many different herds, and while still had his choice of ladies, he couldn't find what he was looking for. One night, Shire decided to take a late run to work out his growing frustrations. As he dodged the trees in the forest near the resting grounds of the herd he was staying with, he caught sight of a horse among the trunks. Curious, he began to chase. It didn't take him long to catch up to Willow, a strong-willed and independent grey mare. Willow had strayed too far from her herd when she was a foal and had been on her own ever since. Because of that, she had become very wary of other horses but she didn't let any horse tell her what to do, either. When Shire began to follow her she silently challenged him. He took that challenge and they raced all night, through the woods and out into the plains and farther. When the sun graced the horizon and the sky turned from dark blue to a pale pink, both horses were too tired to go any further, so they laid down in the grass - side by side. Shire had finally found what he was looking for - a mate that would play hard to get. Willow was impressed by Shire and he had earned her trust. Wow. . . that was a lot longer than I thought it was going to be. . . Oh well. I got into it! There are some dues to give, however. The pose was referenced from The grass is thanks to Thanks everyone! |

It\'s not what makes the person, it\'s what that person makes!
